Tom Bernard is the author of WALL AND MEAN (WW Norton 2007). He worked on Wall Street for thirty years before retiring from finance in 2009 to write fiction full time. He is the “Human Piranha” character in LIARS’ POKER, Michael Lewis’s bestseller about Salomon Brothers in the late 80’s. In 2000-2002 Bernard headed all of Lehman Brothers’ global credit businesses, including corporate bonds, junk bonds, credit derivatives and syndicated lending.

Bernard donated his royalties from WALL AND MEAN to autism charities and will do so for forthcoming novels. He serves on the board of trustees and is the secretary of the Aspen Writers Foundation. A graduate of Harvard College, he resides in Colorado with his wife and two sons.
